Oh my, I am so sorry my lovely readers for being somewhat absent over the past week. Aside from my motivation level dropping from this winter weather, “life” was happening.  Going a week without blogging was not on my to-do list.  However, some other things in life took over the past week, but I am back at it.  What better way then to share this awesome pencil skirt.  It is currently on major sale for under $30!  Such a great piece to add to your work wear wardrobe.  Pencil skirts are something I believe look great on every body type.  You can dress them up or down and go from day to night.  I wore this exact pencil skirt with just the top and skirt to work and went to night by adding the leather jacket and pop of color clutch.

I know you hear this every week from me here on the blog, but is it spring yet?  Anyone else noticing the mounds of snow in todays post? Blaaaaaah! And why do I chose to live in Indiana with the harsh winters? 😦

On a good note, we are 6 weeks out from our Caribbean cruise and we bought a new/used Jeep this past week! It was about time since our vehicles are 10+ years! 🙂  Ride them until the wheels fall off! Stay warm!

XOXO,

Jessica

Shades of grey are definitely one of my favorite looks these days.  Between the frigid temperatures and the recent snow falls here in Indy, it just seems right to get cozy in my shades of grey. No, this does not have to do with the book series nor the recent movie. To be honest, I have not read any of the books nor have the desire to see the movie.  This simply is just my shades of grey look in a world of style. 🙂

This top is actually a crop and I paired it with medium waisted black denim. If you know anything about me, it is that I like to wear my pants high. Yes, go ahead get the laughs in, but you know it is true. You like to wear yours high too! It is just more comfy that way, am I correct? Oh, and this sweater is on my list of ‘things I am so glad I bought’. Do you have items like that in your closet? I found this gem last year at Nordstrom Rack and have been wearing it non-stop ever since.  And, how could I turn down this pop of red clutch I found recently for $7 at Banana Republic Factory. SCORE! Okay, so maybe I have a thing for bargain shopping, but when I find these amazing deals how can I pass up great pieces for my closet at unbelievable prices?  Sorry, but that is just not even a question in my book.  This shades of grey look was perfect for the colder temperatures. As you can tell, smiling and having a good time tend to make me forget how cold this photo shoot really was at the time. Brrrrrrr!

What are some of your favorite ‘shades of grey’ items in your closet?

XOXO,

Jessica

Of course it is still sweater weather here in the Midwest.  I have a love/hate relationship with sweater weather.  In late summer I cannot wait for sweater weather, but by February I am ready to bust out my spring clothes.  Who else has an eye on some spring and summer must haves?  If you forgot to check out some of my current shopping must haves, check them out here. My must haves for spring and summer keeps growing and I have already started picking up a few things.  Can we say I am ready?

Today I could not beat such a comfy and cozy outfit for the chilly weather.  Again, if you have been around here on the blog you know I do not believe in “no white after Labor Day”.   As long as you are wearing thicker white fabrics in colder months, I am all for white anytime of the year.  How do you wear your white denim in colder months?  Do you pair it with your sweaters?  Dress it up or down?
