Happy Monday! It is suppose to be gorgeous here today like it was the past two days. I hope you all enjoyed the beautiful weather this past weekend. On the blog today, I am sharing my favorite weekend style while out and about in the beautiful spring weather. I love this combo and it will be a repeat here on the blog. Can I just wear it everyday? Saturday it was gorgeous out so the hubby and I had some errands to run. We had a few stores to check out to get geared up for vacation next month. He is such a good sport when it comes to shopping. How are your better halves when it comes to shopping? I really got lucky with him enjoying shopping trips. Okay, he is a good sport until he is tired or hungry. Ha! After some shopping we headed to one of our favorite places in town for dinner and home to kick up our tired dogs. I just love weekends and they never seem to be long enough to get everything done. You have those must do chores around the house, being outside and then those guilty pleasure things to get done in two days. It really is just not long enough. I vote for longer weekends and shorter work weeks! 🙂 Get out and enjoy the beautiful weather!

Seems as though we were just here, Monday morning. I know, maybe an extra cup of coffee will help you. As you start a new week, I wanted to share this look with my favorite faux leather pants and olive military vest. Both of these pieces have had a spot in my closet for sometime now and they tend to be easy go to pieces. I had never thought of pairing the two together, until today I chose to go a little out of the box to create this look. I never want to create a ‘too leathery’ look with my faux leather pants so I always pair opposite pieces with these pants. What better way than with my military vest and a pair of heels! And this long button down has been in my closet for years but a perfect piece to tie it all together. Let me tell you, this shoot was a fun adventure. By the end, we had one muddy pup on our hands. Is it Spring yet? With this colder weather I keep wearing my darker colors. I am ready for some bright and fun colors how about you? Which reminds me, tomorrow on the blog I will be posting some of my shopping ‘must haves’ right now. What are you currently wanting in your closet?
Exciting news! Head over to my Instagram (@mybrunetteadventureblog) and be sure to follow to see how you can win a gift card. What better way to start off the week than in this comfy military jacket. My weekend is currently extended with it being a holiday today. Anyone else have the day off work? What are your plans? Today, I am sharing my favorite look with my military jacket. This jacket is definitely a go to piece year round. SInce it was a bit warmer on Saturday here in Indy, I wore it for date night with my husband. My husband got free tickets through his employer to the roller derby match here in town. We both had never been and it was such a fun experience to cheer on our Naptown Roller GIrls. If you get a chance or have always wanted to go see a roller derby match, I recommend it! Such a fun time!
Needless to say this was a perfect outfit for pizza beforehand and watching roller derby afterwards. I love being comfortable and this combo did just that for my date night. Some of my favorite pieces coming together in this outfit. I have worn this military jacket in so many ways, whether it be to dress it up or dress it down in a comfortable look like I did here. What are some of your favorite ways to wear your military jacket?
On a side note I am also loving how I got the chance to change up the scenery in the blog photos for you all! Yay! This stone road was so awesome and is in downtown Indianapolis in a quite neighborhood. As the days get longer, it will be much easier to make my way around to new spots to change up the scenery for the blog photos.
