Hawaii Travel Video

It has been a long time coming. I got around to editing all the video content we shot on our trip to Hawaii in May of 2017. We want to share with you some of the places we went if you are planning a trip. Head over to YouTube to check out what I came up with on our 10 day adventure to Hawaii.  Cramming 10 days worth of awesome into a 20 minute video was very difficult, but I am sure you will love the views we captured. We went to Oahu and the big island (island of Hawai’i). Sharing so many great experiences, awesome views and we loved every minute of this trip. My husband and I planned this trip to celebrate my 30th birthday in my birthplace, Honolulu! I had not been back since I was about six months old. 🙂 It was long overdue!

This video is not at all amazing quality as it was shot with our GoPro! We hope you enjoy!

Back to Blogging

This is a pre-warning that I am going to blab a bit here. You guys, I have missed this little space of mine! These past two and a half years, I have really put the blog on the back burner. Pretty much no posts and no content! So many personal life changes for our family were happening that the blog was not my main focus. And to be honest, I was not inspired and motivated to create/share.  For the past few months, that feeling has changed. My creative self is wanting to get back to my blog roots. I love being able to share experiences that can help others. Recently, I made the choice to close my online women’s boutique I opened in 2015. After having my daughter and focusing on my full time career, the time needed for the boutique was not there nor could I create more hours in the day.  It was a tough decision but necessary for me. I am glad to focus on my career (I have changed jobs twice since–for the better), focus on my family and now I can dabble back in my hobbies; blogging and photography.

Cheers to My Brunette Adventure making a come back (hopefully) AND celebrating 5 years on my slice of the inter webs!

I would love to hear from you all, if you are even out there? What are you all wanting to see here on MBA? What topics can I help you with? I have travel videos that I could share? Mama style? Organizing/Decluttering/Minimalist? Budgeting/Pay off Debt? Extra side hustle? How I am liking Maskara makeup?(using not selling)

Have a great rest of the week!

Summer Day Dress

What is more exciting, this perfect ‘summer’ weather lately or that I am finally blogging?  Okay, maybe you all did not miss me like I have missed blogging.  Lets have a small recap on my life since my last post in February. Yes, I said February as in 4 months ago.  Since then, I have been working full time, running the boutique business full time, small renovations to our kitchen, attending weddings, going on mini weekend trips and most recently planning/taking a two week vacation to Hawaii for my 30th Birthday. It was the trip of a lifetime and I could go on for hours about it. I took a lot of photos and videos in Hawaii so I am still working on a post or two of that trip. Stay tuned and I will eventually share it here with you all.  🙂

Todays look is one of my favorite summer go to looks.  A simple bell sleeve dress with some simple bright designs.  This look can go to the beach, the park or a day date.  Good news, you can get it right now at 7th & Park. Free U.S. shipping! I paired my look with a simple gold flat sandal from J.Crew.  You can also add more accessories depending on the occasion.  Beach tote? Floppy hat for the beach? Sunglasses? Check out the sunglasses all under $15 at 7th & Park.

Hope you all are doing well and have some fun things planned for the weekend and summer. I have a few things planned this summer; lake house life in Maryland with my family, girls weekend to see my best friend in Grand Rapids, mini tips and possibly a getaway to Nashville, TN. We recently booked a long weekend trip for early November in NYC. Southwest was having a major sale and I earn points with my Southwest card. Our flights only cost me $22.40! (the taxes & fees you have to pay) I will put together a post soon on how we travel on a budget and get great deals. As for this weekend, I will continue working on our kitchen/patio area, getting caught up on the business, and enjoy the nice weather outside.

Enjoy your weekend!
