Happy New Year’s Eve! This time of year its great to look back on all of your ups and downs of 2014 to help make the new year even better for yourself. Ways you can grow as a person. Goals you can make and achieve. What positive ways you can give to this big world we all call home. What a great year it has been for myself and My Brunette Adventure blog. The blog is currently 5 months old and continues to grow each and every day. I appreciate each and every one of you more than I can put into words. Thank you all for being followers of my little place on the big world web. 🙂 I look forward to see where things go in 2015! May you all have a great year!

Who doesn’t love a warm, cozy sweater when its blistering cold? Yes, I am a fan of elbow patches. Whether leather, fabric or some sequins, elbow patches add a great touch to a cozy sweater. Most women would not dare trust their man to pick out their clothing, but mine is usually about 90% accurate at picking just the right pieces for my wardrobe. Score! Camo with Sass

Hoping your work week is getting off to a great start! Heres to another work week! May we all make it through yet another Monday. Who ever said you cannot wear sparkle and heels with camo was wrong. Today, I added some girly pieces to take away from such a powerful pattern, camo. I really love how these pants have a “moto” feel with the zipper pockets and zippers at the ankles. Sticking with basics was best since the pattern speaks enough for the whole outfit. I am a neutral colors kinda girl so I stuck with a camel colored sweater on top. You could add a pop of color to the look by adding a bright pink sweater instead. Heels and sparkle for the win! Who else loves their camo pants?

Houndstooth and Oxblood

Hello middle of the work week! Am I the only one counting down the days until Friday? Today’s gray skies sure made me want to stay in bed and snuggle. Lets be real, I had to drag myself out of my bed and be a grown up by getting my butt to the office. Cold days call for a warm and cozy sweater just like this new oxblood sweater I picked up. I happen to love this oxblood short sweater paired with the houndstooth skirt I picked up on clearance this past weekend as well. Oopps, I told you the colder months were all set in my wardrobe with all the cozy sweaters I picked up that were marked down. Plus, my minor skirt addiction at the moment. 🙂

This pattern always reminds me of my college apparel merchandising courses. Memories of setting out all my swatches on our apartment floor to study for an exam and my roommate seriously confused I had to know all those fabrics. Good ole’ college days!
