Fall look in Maine

Sweater: JCrew Factory  //  Tank: Lou&Grey from the Loft  //  Jeans: JCrew  //  Boots: Target (last year)

Happy Monday ladies!  Todays look is from part of our road trip two weeks ago. Yes, I am still working on a travel post of all the places we visited on our road trip and hopefully it will not take me months. 🙂  So many great places from the New England area of the U.S.  One of our stops on the road trip was Maine.  It was so beautiful and it is on my list of places to return later. While we spent two days in Maine, this was my exploring outfit and perfect for adventuring around the coast of Maine.  Tall riding boots are always a go to when I am traveling and exploring new outdoor areas.  A pair of denim, which I got on sale for under $30, and a tan sweater with elbow patches are an easy and another go to look for Fall adventures.

This location was the most calm and peaceful view.  The sun was setting, the weather was perfect and the view was beyond what words could describe. This little row boat immediately took me to the tiny boat scene on “The Notebook”.  Anyone else think the same? 🙂  If you have the chance to adventure or travel to new places, do it.

XOXO,

Jessica

Hello sunshine!  So glad you graced us with your presence.  I hope wherever you are located, you are getting some wonderful spring sunshine too. Aaaaamazing!  It might not be spring quite yet, but I am ready to wear my spring uniform.  Okay, I don’t wear a daily uniform to work but this look here is along the lines of what I live in at work.  Simple and pops of color.  How will you wear your spring uniform? I would love to hear what you guys are wanting to live in this spring.

Today’s look is going to be on repeat here on the blog. Okay, maybe I will switch up the pieces I mix together, but these crop print pants I tell ya.  They are so comfortable and were one of my best purchases recently.  How many of you sell or buy on Poshmark?(check it out if not)  I will admit, I do both!  I sell my unwanted items in my closet as well as buy gently used clothing. These pants are like brand new!  I bought the pants along with a striped JCrew button up and paid $25 for both items.  Deal, I think so.  Best part is both those items were on my “must have list” I created for the new season. Which reminds me, have you been following your “must have” list when purchasing items?  This method has worked really well for me and I have cut back on items that just sit in my closet because they were on sale. Ask me more if you want to know how I create and follow a list when shopping for new seasons.

XOXO,

Jessica

Sweater: Forever21 ||  Jeans: Old Navy (here)  ||  Booties: TJMaxx  ||  Backpack: Target (in-store only)  ||  Necklace: New York & Company (?)

Yes, you read that correct, backpacks are back!  As you probably have seen in many stores, using a backpack instead of your handbag is becoming a new trend. I know. I know. You may not love it, but it is a hit for me. I picked up this fairly inexpensive backpack from Target recently for some traveling that is coming up soon.  It will work great for traveling or strolling in the city.  The upside is my “big kid” camera will be able to fit in the backpack and not weight down my shoulder like it does with a normal handbag.  I did look around for a while before taking this plunge to purchase this beauty. Who says beauty in fashion can’t be inexpensive? By the way, I passed it up the first time I saw it at Target and it was on my mind for weeks.  I went back to Target with my husband so of course I told him I had definitely slept on it for weeks and was ready to place it in my cart! Plus using a gift card I had was a bonus.

I must add, this sweater is so cozy and was perfect for our date night Saturday when temperatures were a bit warmer, no coat needed! And who can say no to the color?  I am a bit in love with all things olive colored. But not olives! Okay, enough about that before I get off on my many tangents. 🙂

Try out a backpack you love for those days you are traveling, hanging out at a theme park, or just strolling in the city. You can kept it cute while also keeping it functional. Yes, this backpack will be on my packing list for our vacation next month to the Caribbean.

XOXO,

Jessica
