Casual Game Day Look

Casual Game Day Look

Today was a fairly chilly day here in Indianapolis. With the chill, it is necessary to layer on your pieces for a game day look. A game day look can work for many different sporting events. Throw some of your basic wardrobe pieces together with your sports gear to support your team and you are ready to hit the crowd. I chose my favorite team, the Yankees. I know. I know. The season is over for the Yanks, but I will wear my gear no matter what time of year. My love for the Yankees started over ten years ago and mainly because of Derek Jeter. 🙂 I love throwing on my baseball hat to support my team. Recently, Derek Jeter did retired, but I will continue to support my Yanks! They also have my heart because New York City is also one of my favorite cities.

Casual Game Day LookI finally got around to getting my mane colored. I did go a little darker with my hair, can you even tell? I sure can! Casual Game Day Look

Don’t forget to layer if you will be outside tailgating! It is easy to layer on to stay warm outdoors and once inside you can remove layers to be more comfortable during the game.

I am not sure what provoked me to look over the fencing, but as soon as I saw this photo it reminded me of a favorite childhood movie, The Sandlot. Oh how that classic movie always made its way into the VCR at home for family movie night. I grew up with just an older brother, so my childhood days tended to have more tomboy-ish ways then my latter years. A little kick ball in the court, anyone?

How I Wore My Wool Fedora Hat

Fall Lace and Wool Fedora HatMy search for a wool fedora hat has come to an end. I was on the hunt for the right shade of camel, the right size and price point wool fedora hat for a few months now. Of all my favorite places, I picked this up at Target for a fraction of the cost of the many other hats I found during my search. Target carries this in camel and black. (here and here) My search lead to many disappointments due to cost. Can you believe some were upwards of $100+? If you follow me, paying over a $100 for a hat is not something I would do. Maybe other staple items. 🙂

Fall Lace and Wool Fedora HatThere are many ways you can style your wool fedora hat. I decided to pair mine with this crochet dress to give it a feminine touch and my riding boots to tie the hat with the rest of the outfit. The utility jacket helped tie a feminine touch with an outdoor feel while not being to stuffy.

Fall Lace and Wool Fedora Hat How about them boots? That is another one of my hunt stories for another day. But,Target does it again!

Fall Lace and Wool Fedora HatLook at that shot! My wild mane hair was blowing all over during the shoot. My husband caught me at peace while the crazy wind had its way with my hair.
