A Pattern Dress Styled 3 Easy Ways

Anyone else hesitant to buy patterned clothing? Styles are always changing and prints/patterns are part of that change. I usually do not buy tons of patterned clothing since I am trying to buy more pieces that can mix and match together to make my wardrobe more versatile. However, neutral patterns which can be worn different ways and with basics you already own are good choices. This dress is not a leopard print but more of a spot print in two of my favorite colors; camel and black. It can be worn so many ways, not just as a dress. Today, I am going to show you the top 3 easy ways I will style this dress. If you have a pair of sandals, a pair of white sneakers or a pair of slides/mules then that covers footwear. (In the fall, you can also pair with booties)

Next, you can pair a basic t-shirt or a concert/graphic style t-shirt to make the dress into a skirt look. A denim jacket can go over the dress for chilly days and you can dress the look up with switching out the denim jacket for a blazer and heeled wedges. By making one item so versatile, it will get you more wear out of the item and therefore more bang for your buck.

Did I mentioned, this dress is from a locally owned online boutique. You can shop here. Support a locally owned small business with this cute patterned dress and/or many other Women’s apparel items.

Hello October! If you follow me on Instagram you know my favorite season is here. It also happens to be my anniversary month! Cannot believe it has been two years since my hubby and I said our “I do’s”. Time flies when you are having fun! The month of October always brings all of my favorite Fall things;  the crisp air, the hot chocolate in cute coffee mugs, pumpkins-fall decorations, fall fashion and so many other “Fall” things. Did you all wear your boots and booties yet? I sure have been wearing them any chance I get during the cooler days.

Can we talk about this deep burgundy/wine/purple dress! No really sure the exact color.  We all have ‘problem areas’ and mine happens to be my middle section so I stay away from things that show my ‘problem area’.  This swing dress was perfect to give me room and the color is to die for. 🙂  Adding accessories is always my favorite part of completing a look.  This tan floppy hat was perfect along with a dainty gold ring to put together my look.  I recently looked through my closet to see what mix and match pieces I have to create new Fall outfits this season.  Then, it was time to make a ‘must have’ list along with a ‘wish list’ for Fall/Winter clothing.

Be sure to head over to the boutique to shop our NEW arrivals! We restocked our plaid blanket scarf.      www.7thandPark.com

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Sometimes an all striped dress can be a bit overwhelming.  I used to hate horizontal stripes as it does the one thing we all never want, make us look wider. But I have recently come around to them a bit more in the past year or so. Naturally with this loose fitting T-shirt striped dress, I did not want the stripes to over power my look.  By adding solid pieces, it helped tone down the bold pattern while still giving the stripe pattern center stage.  Anyone else like to wear a sporty look to run errands on beautiful days? I know what your are thinking, your yoga pants do just fine for a sporty look.  Okay, maybe you can give your yoga pants a break and still be comfortable and sporty with a simple Tshirt dress, low sneaker and fun accessories. Try it out! Maybe you will go back to the days of Sporty Spice. Anyone else a Spice Girl fan in the 90’s? I sure was! Spice up yo life!

And who doesn’t love a nice jumping picture? Truth is I was overjoyed at the beautiful weather we have had this past week I was celebrating. Okay and maybe jumping for joy that we leave on vacation in less than two weeks! Score! Those poor pale legs of mine need some time in the sun. Oh, pardon my pedometer, I have been wearing it to track my daily steps and it slipped its way into this photo shoot. 🙂
