Jeans: Gap Outlet  ||  Shoes: Converse ‘shoreline’ Nordstrom (here) ||  Handbag: London Fog via TJMaxx  ||  Bralette: Aerie  ||  Top: H&M  ||  Sunglasses: TJMaxx  ||  Necklace: Forever21

Lets be honest, I love my basics.  Everything about this look screams basic! Nothing says wearing heels everyday is the only way to show your style. Sometimes a girl just wants to have a laid back look and I go straight to basic pieces for that kind of day.  These Converse are by far all I had hoped they would be and more.  Convers-ation is getting real…..  These Converse ‘shoreline’ slip ons have been on my ‘shopping list’ and radar for a while now. Go. Get. Them. Now. What girl can’t love her chucks every now and again?  These are going to be a great go to shoe for spring and summer days. How do you all wear your basic and/or converse?

P.S. This pair of denim was on clearance, plus an additional % off.  Ended up paying $12 for a pair of high waisted, distressed denim that was on my ‘shopping list’. Score! I have a love for all pants high waisted. 🙂

XOXO,

Jessica

Happy Friday my loves!  Friday has to be my favorite day of the week. Anyone else? Everyday you should love what you put on and today I absolutely loved all these pieces I paired together for my look.  Most of these are pieces I have owned for quite sometime and just decided to pair them together.  I am loving where these pants hit on my leg and think I need more pants that hit right above the ankle bone.  To put a little prep in my step today, I chose to wear these nude heels to work with this new comfortable blazer I scored on sale.  I did change into my ‘shoreline’ white converse for a relaxed date night look after the office. Sorry I did not get a picture of those beauties, but they will be tested out this weekend.  Anyone notice a little change of scenery? We decided to do a impromptu photo session near my work today. Loving these warmer temperatures!  Who has big plans for the weekend? Anything fun?

If you follow me on Instagram, here is the new red lip color I picked up this past weekend. As you know I have been on the hunt for the perfect red lip and I have found it!  I posted a quick shot of it this past week over on my Instagram.  Be sure you are following me on Instagram for daily updates from me! @mybrunetteadventureblog

Pants: Old Navy (here)  ||  Top: (old)  ||  Shoes: Forever21 (last season)  ||  Hat: J.Crew via Poshmark (get here)  ||  Clutch: EBAY  ||  Sunglasses: H&M  ||  Necklace/Earrings: ℅ Rocksbox

As many of you know I have been wishing and waiting on that warm weather to arrive.  Well, it was 73 here recently so I had to throw together a warmer day look.  Okay, maybe I am a few weeks ahead of myself, but I immediately went for this relaxed resort wear look.  I know, it is not spring nor summer, but it was 73 degrees and beautiful, so I ran with it. Plus, a valid excuse to wear some of my favorite warm weather pieces, yes please.

For the chilly evening temperatures I just threw on a denim jacket over top.  I really am liking mules (the type of shoe) and love them paired with these loose printed pants. My recent hunt for this J.Crew panama hat has ended and I got it for $20 on Poshmark.  That is a great deal considering this same hat is $58 on the J.Crew website. YAY!  It definitely pays to shop around and check out second hand applications ladies!

This pair of earrings and this necklace are amazingly gorgeous.  Which reminds me, do you love jewelry as much as I do? I have tons and tons of jewelry in my wardrobe that sometimes gets no wear time. Well, I have recently found a way to always try new pieces of jewelry without owning a million different pieces.  Rocksbox!  Each month you pay just $19 and they will mail you three designer pieces of jewelry from your wish list straight to your doorstep. That is a bonus in my book, mail day goodies every month and new jewelry to wear. Bingo!  You wear the pieces as much as you would like then mail them back for new pieces to be sent to your doorstep. Also, you can always buy pieces you love using your points.  The best part is you can cancel your box at anytime, no hassle.  Even better, I have a coupon code for you to try it out for the first month FREE! Just head over to sign up and use the code mybrunetteadventurexoxo if you want to give it a try.  If you don’t like it after your first month just cancel and it is no cost to you. Hurry, this code is only valid this month to receive your first box for free. Head over to my instagram to see what all I received in my Rocksbox for the month of March!
