Here I go starting off 2015 with a bit of a bang by sharing my ‘Canadian Tuxedo’ look. Yes that is right, I am okay with this look. It is simple and easy to just throw together and go! This denim on denim is whatever you may call it in your fashion world; canadian tuxedo, double denim, texas tuxedo and the list goes on. Since I can remember, I have always called denim on denim a ‘canadian tuxedo’. If I have taught my best friend from childhood one thing from the fashion world, it is the term ‘Canadian tuxedo’. I love going straight to my chambray shirts and what better way then to pair it with some comfy denim jeans. Okay, just make sure you do not attempt the mistake of pairing similar denim washes together, then you are going straight to the 90’s. Keep the washes far from matching or else it really is a canadian tuxedo. 🙂
Sure, my parents still have proof of me rocking a real denim tuxedo in the 90’s, with the washes matching identically. Bingo! Can we say OMG? It sure is fun to see those memories of bad fashion trends and bad hair styles, but well worth the confidence we all had rocking them through that decade. Okay, I know I am not the only one. Who else had matching jeans and jean jackets? It is okay to raise your hand!
I paired my current look with some booties and you are now ready to have a comfy day of errand running or shopping.
Do you guys have your favorite denim pieces?
Happy Denim-ing,
Jessica
